I live, work, play and shoot in Eastern North Carolina. I specialize in studio still-life, landscape, nature, macro, and candid portrait photography. I have been taking photos from when I was a little boy and I used my mom’s Kodak Brownie. I took the family photos when we went on vacation and trips all around. So I have been in love with Photography for a very long time. I purchased my first SLR camera when I was 16 yrs old and I was the geeky guy at school with the camera. I have dabbled in film processing from color slides to black and white processing in the bathroom that was made into a dark room. I joined the military right out of High School and served for twenty years traveling all over the world from the Philippines to Germany and all over. Unfortunately my Photography did not flourish like I would have hoped after looking back. I got married had a family and the only real photography that was happening was just taking photos of family at events like birthdays, Christmas ect…
While all this was happening computers and the digital age was starting and before long the digital camera came to be. I purchased my first one and haven’t been the same since. I started with a 2 megapixel and now I have a 16 megapixel looking to get a 35. I have been taking photographs for over 40 years and am just starting to take ones that I’m proud of. But I love it, just love it.
I’ve been married for over 30 years to a great gal that puts up with me. I have two children Mark and Melissa. Melissa has had two babies of her own so I’m getting a little long in the tooth. I live, think and breathe Photography. I love to go out into the countryside early in the morning and wait for the sun to come up just to get that shot.
I am a proud supporter of the "Help Portrait" project and am a volunteer photographer for the "Hearts apart" project for our military servicemen and women.
